Children of French families abroad often speak French perfectly well and write it badly. Spelling drifts, grammar loosens, and the gap only becomes visible when a school report says so.
Our trainers work with children and teenagers on exactly this: written French held to French standards. For lycéens, that extends to the épreuve anticipée de français — the dissertation, the commentaire composé, the oral — which is precisely what their degree trained them to teach.
